Tart Patisserie is the realization of a lifelong dream for Owner/Pastry Chef Amanda Innes-Shareef. Amanda grew up baking with her Easy Bake Oven and helping her grandparents in the kitchen.
Her grandmother taught her patience through working with pies and delicate pastries. Baking soon became Amanda’s passion, but it wasn’t until 2004 that she would pursue this passion. Amanda worked in the insurance industry for 7 years before attending culinary school. In 2005 she graduated from The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago with a degree in Baking and Pastry. Since then, she has enjoyed creating new and contemporary desserts, while also perfecting those ancient family recipes.
